We were entertained at a restaurant on our first night in Santiago, Chile.
The summer flowers were all blooming, and we
enjoyed
empanadas for lunch at this outdoor cafe in Santiago.
We visited "La Moneda," the Chilean
government building
in downtown Santiago.
My girlfriends took this picture at La Moneda to make Jerry jealous!!
After two days in Santiago, my friend Narry
welcomed us to her vacation home in the
agricultural area near Quillota, about 70 miles northwest of Santiago.
Her yard is surrounded by avocado trees and has a lovely pool that we used every
day.
These two children stopped to play with a
stray dog who
was waiting hopefully at the butcher shop in Quillota.
We had lots of fresh fruit and vegetables from this farmers' market in Quillota.
