'Recognizing the Sacrifices

and Honoring the Courage of

North Dakota, South Dakota &

 Minnesota's WWII Heroes'

Join us in sending our WWII veterans to Washington, D.C.

May 3-5th, 2007 by donating to "Honor Flight."

In 2004, nearly 60 years after the war ended, World War II

veterans received the recognition they so richly deserved with the

construction of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Now we want to make sure veterans from our region get a chance

to see it.  We want to send as many WWII veterans as possible to

Washington for a weekend of memories, reflection and fun.  The

veterans will visit the memorial and other sites in Washington and

be guests of honor at a VIP reception hosted by our area senators

and representatives.

All of this will be free to the veteran.  No cost whatsoever.  It's our

way of thanking them for a job well done.  We just need your help.

Please give generously to "Honor Flight" and a generation of heroes.

WDAY will be hosting a telethon at West Acres on Thursday, April 12

in the Food Court, West Porch to raise funds for this trip.

This fundraiser will help make the trip a reality for approximately 200 veterans!

If you do not live in the area and would like to make a donation they can be mailed to:

American Legion Post #2
"Honor Flight"
505 3rd Avenue North

Thank you for your support!
